How to customise keyboard shortcuts in Eclipse

The first thing to do when moving to a newer version of Eclipse is to customise it. One of the most useful features of Eclipse is the recommendation of methods, variables etc with the use of keyboard shortcuts. So, when you press the shortcut in your keyboard, all the available methods in the API appear as a list and you can select one of your choice.

However in the versions for Mac OS the default shortcut is not very convenient as in windows (ctrl + space). In order to change this or any other shortcut you should do the following:

1. Go to the menu Eclipse -> preferences

2. On the preferences panel select from General, the Keys tab. In this tab you can customise all the keyboard shortcuts

3. The shortcut for recommendations is called “Content Assist”. In order to change the default shortcut, select it from the list and on the Binding field write the combination of your preference as it is shown in the following picture

Το PDF-XChange Viewer είναι η freeware εναλλακτική του Adobe Acrobat Pro. Επίσης είναι far far γρηγορότερο, έχει ίδιο interface με το acrobat Pro και δεν έχει να ζηλέψει κάτι από αυτό. Το σημαντικότερο χαρακτηριστικό του είναι ότι επιτρέπει annotations και comments, μπορεί να τα εμφανίσει σε λίστα, να τα κάνει export κλπ. Ακόμα μπορεί να ανοίξει τα comments που έχουν γίνει με το Acrobat Pro.

Το PDF-XChange Viewer υποστηρίζει μόνο Windows. Το κατεβάζουμε από εδώ. Προαπαιτούμενο installation είναι το framework.Net.

Το Paint.net είναι η εναλλακτική freeware λύση του Photoshop στην επεξεργασία εικόνων. Είναι εύχρηστο, έχει τα βασικά χαρακτηριστικά του Photoshop όπως τα layers και άλλα χρήσιμα features όπως η διόρθωση του red eye, filters, adjustments etc για γρήγορο editing. Είναι χρήσιμο εργαλειάκι για μη ειδικούς σε επεξεργασία φωτογραφιών που θέλουν να κάνουν γρήγορα και ανώδυνα την δουλειά τους, αλλά μπορεί να ικανοποιήσει και πιο απαιτητικούς χρήστες προσφέροντας πληθώρα από plugins για additional functionality. Δυστυχώς δεν υπάρχει αντίστοιχη έκδοση για Mac OS αλλά μπορεί να ικανοποιήσει τους χρήστες των windows.
